Workshop: "Diversity and the World Languages Classroom"

How is diversity relevant to foreign language educators? Find out
during this one-day workshop at East Stroudsburg University. Dr. Martha Bigelow (University of Minnesota’s Department of Curriculum and Instruction) will apply her own K-16 teaching experiences and current research to lead the day’s activities. Topics to be addressed include: cultural inventories, notions of diversity (ethnic, linguistic, cultural, etc.), effective classroom activities and appropriate teaching materials for recognizing and promoting diversity, and more.

Five Pennsylvania Act 48 hours will be awarded. New Jersey credit hours are accepted by many districts.
